Itinerary

Day 01 :
Kathmandu (1300m)

Arrive in Kathmandu and check into your hotel. Rest day.

Day 02 :
Kathmandu

Visit Pashupatinath, Shakti Peetha, and Boudhanath. The rest of the day is free for you to explore Kathmandu or join an optional tour.

Day 03 :
Kathmandu | Syabrubesi (1,500m, 135km, approx. 8 hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Syabrubesi. Being at a higher altitude than Kathmandu, it aids in acclimatization. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 04 :
Syabrubesi to Kyirong via Rasuwagadhi (2,700m, 40 km)

After lunch and immigration formalities, cross the Friendship Bridge. Our Chinese guide will assist with the process. Once completed, drive to Kyirong. Overnight stay at a guesthouse with dormitory accommodation.

Kyirong, located in Tibet’s Xigaze Prefecture, has a warm climate, lush vegetation, and breathtaking landscapes. Known as the “Valley of Happiness,” it remains pleasant year-round. A short walk is advisable to explore the area.

Day 05 :
Kyirong | Saga (4,450m)

Cross Pekhu Tso Lake, pass Mount Xixapangma, and drive alongside the Brahmaputra River. Overnight stay at a guesthouse with dormitory accommodation.

Day 06 :
Saga | Mansarovar (4,500m, 450 km)

A spiritual highlight of the journey—witness the holy Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar. Take a holy dip in the lake and perform Mansarovar Parikrama via environmental buses. View Rakshas Tal and reach Chiu Gompa. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

According to Hindu beliefs, Lord Brahma first conceived the lake in his mind before it manifested on Earth. In Sanskrit, “Manasa Sarovaram” is derived from manasa (mind) and sarovaram (lake).

Day 07 :
Mansarovar | Darchen (4,560m)

The morning is free for pooja and havan until 2 PM. Later, drive to Darchen, the base camp of Kailash, from where the Kailash Parikrama begins. Overnight stay at a guesthouse with dormitory accommodation.

Day 08 :
Darchen | Sershung | Dirapuk (4,765m, 24km)

After breakfast, drive 12 km to Sershung and begin the Kailash Parikrama trek to Dirapuk (16,500 ft, 12 km). Lunch en route. Dinner and overnight stay at a camp (tent/mud house).

Day 09 :
Dirapuk | Zuthulpuk (4,690m, 18km)

This is the most challenging day of the yatra. The steep ascent to Drolma La Pass (5,640m / 18,600ft) symbolizes a transition from one life to another. Below the pass, see Gauri Kund (5,440m / 18,400ft), the Lake of Compassion. The descent is long and steep, followed by a trek along the east bank of the river to Zuthulpuk. The journey takes approximately 10 to 12 hours. Dinner and overnight stay at a camp (tent/mud house).

Day 10 :
Zuthulpuk | Darchen | Saga

After breakfast, trek 8 km to Zhong Chu, where vehicles will be waiting. Drive to Darchen, have lunch, and continue to Dongba. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 11 :
Saga | Kyirong

After breakfast, drive back to Kyirong. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 12 :
Kyirong | Kathmandu

Drive back to Kathmandu and check into your hotel. Enjoy free time in this vibrant city.
