Terms & Conditions
Flexible Flying Time
Flight schedules are subject to weather conditions and flying permissions. Changes may occur due to adverse weather or technical issues.
Body Weight Limitation
Each helicopter accommodates up to 6 passengers with a combined total weight limit of 445 kg. Passengers must provide accurate body weights during booking. If the actual weight exceeds the declared weight, Heli Yatra reserves the right to de-board passengers without issuing a refund.
• Additional Weight Charges: Passengers exceeding 75 kg will be charged INR 2,000 per kg. This must be paid in Dehradun before boarding.
• Incorrect Weight Declaration: Passengers providing incorrect weight details will be charged INR 2,500 per kg based on the pilot’s final decision. Non-compliance may result in de-boarding without a refund.
Luggage Limitations
Each passenger is allowed one small soft bag (maximum 3 kg). Hard-case bags or large suitcases are strictly prohibited.
Flying Schedule
The sequence of destinations (Dhams) may vary depending on weather conditions, technical issues, temple congestion, or government permissions.
Infants
Children under 2 years of age can travel free of charge. Proof of age, such as a birth certificate or ID, must be submitted before the journey begins.
Bad Weather Conditions
Flying in hilly regions is subject to unpredictable weather and force majeure factors, such as:
• Delayed air traffic clearances or permissions
• VVIP movements or NOTAMs
• Technical issues or crew unavailability
• Late passenger arrivals at helipads
Recommendation: Passengers are advised to allocate an extra day to account for potential delays or cancellations due to weather.
• If only one Dham is completed, the itinerary may be adjusted to cover Ekdham in 1 day or Dodham in 2 days.
• Any extra night halt charges will be borne by passengers directly.
• In case of cancellations, refunds will be provided per the refund policy.
Medical or Special Conditions
Passengers with medical or special conditions (e.g., disabilities) must inform Heli Yatra during booking. Failure to disclose such information may result in de-boarding without a refund.
Force Majeure and No-Fly Conditions
If a Dham visit is canceled due to bad weather or force majeure, proportionate refunds will be issued, deducting 10% of the total cost for flight preparation and operational expenses. Refunds exclude royalty fees, taxes, and fixed costs.
Passenger Grouping
To ensure safety and balance, Heli Yatra may reshuffle passengers between helicopters. Passengers traveling together may not always board the same flight.
Rescheduling Policy
Bookings can be rescheduled subject to availability:
• Rescheduling requests made 30 days or more before departure will incur a 20% fee of the total cost.
• Requests made within 30 days of departure will be treated as cancellations, and new bookings will be subject to availability and cancellation fees.
Payment Terms
• Payments can be made via bank transfer or UPI.
• A 50% deposit is required at booking. The remaining balance must be paid 30 days before departure.
• Full payment is mandatory for boarding.
Refund Policy for Bad Weather or Force Majeure
Refunds are calculated as follows:
• If one Dham is completed, passengers will receive INR 12,000 per person for the incomplete portion.
• Refunds exclude expenses such as extra night halts, additional transfers, or services not included in the package.
• No refund will be provided for unused services.
In the event of COVID-19 lockdowns or state/national emergencies, refunds will not apply. However, passengers will receive a credit voucher, valid for one year, which can be used for any Heli Yatra tours.
Cancellation Policy
• Cancellations made 30 days or more before the flying date will incur a 40% fee of the total cost.
• Cancellations made within 30 days of departure are non-refundable.
